HORSETAIL

WHAT IT IS...

Horsetail is an invasive, deep-rooted weed with fast-growing

Rhizomes (underground stems) that quickly send up dense stands of foliage.

Horsetail or marestail is a common weed which can often be difficult to control.

It commonly grows through pores in damaged tarmac and often spreads quickly.

WHY IS IT A PROBLEM?

The creeping rhizomes of this pernicious plant may go down as deep as 2m (7ft) below the surface,

making them hard to remove by digging out, especially if they invade a border.

They often enter gardens by spreading underground from neighbouring properties or land.

HOW WE TREAT IT

Horsetail can be controlled with a specialist chemical group handled by our trained team.

Every job is assessed individually and a management plan is drawn up to complete satisfaction.
